Frequently asked questions

How do I order a meat box?

Head to the Shop page,  we list all available boxes there. If you see something you like, you can order directly through us. Some boxes sell out fast, so it’s first come, first served!

Where do the boxes come from?

Every box comes direct from a real British farmer. We work closely with them to help pack, price, and promote the best of what they produce. It’s farm-to-fork!

How is the meat packaged and delivered?

Farmers prepare their boxes in partnership with their local abattoir or butcher, following safe handling and packaging practices, while we support them every step of the way. Most boxes are vacuum-packed to maintain freshness and delivered straight to you.

Can I freeze the meat?

Absolutely. Almost everything comes chilled and vacuum-sealed, ready to freeze. If it’s pre-frozen, we’ll make that clear at the point of purchase.

I’ve never bought from a farmer before, is this safe?

100%. These farmers care more about their produce than anyone else. Many are certified, inspected, and work with local abattoirs and professional butchers. If a box is listed on Box to Belly, it’s a box we stand behind.

What if I’m not happy with a box?

We don’t hide behind “customer service bots”. If something isn’t right, email us and we’ll fix it. Whether it’s replacing items, issuing a refund, or just having a proper chat to find out what went wrong.

Do I need to subscribe?

No. We don’t do subscriptions right now, just good food when it’s ready. That might change in the future, but for now it’s one-off boxes, released when the meat is at its best.

Can I request a specific cut or breed?

Possibly! Message us, we might be able to hook you up with a farm producing just what you’re after. That’s the magic of Box to Belly: real people, real animals, real food.
